Firewall app for iphone 4s Block all Ads on your iPhone / iPad for Free!

Firewall app for ipad or iPhone

So you hate ads appearing on your iPhone and iPad? Want to find a way to block all the ads from appearing?

We can definitely help you with this. A simple way for blocking ads on any device is to essentially block the connection. One crucial way to do this is with use of a firewall. Think about it. Why doesn’t your phone have a firewall installed already? it is constantly connected to the internet and it is subjected to potentially anything. By far the most annoying attack that is very conspicuous is the ever appearing ad that loads on a webpage or an app.

Steps on how to remove ads

  1. Get Firewall >> You can find this in xSellize or SinfuliPhone Repos
  2. Run the Firewall App
  3. Start blocking any connection that connects to mobile ad networks

There is a global deny list (pictured below). Id rather itemize all the connections. It really amazes me how many connections I block on my phone. There are way too many connections that are really unnecessary.

Albeit, it is seriously annoying to set this up because you have to validate every connection request. Firewall will promptyou to see if you want the connection to be accepted or denied. This is a tedious but worthwhile investment. Once you fine tune your device, ads simply do not load!

Removing Ads from BiteSms – Cydia

Ever see a random ad in your iphone?

iads removal for iPhone

how to remove ads from iPhone

If you run BiteSMS and notice that although you may or may not have the full version, you might see an ads in the background. That ad is originating from Bitesms. Cydia Source xSellize Repo has an update to fix this. If you cannot get the fix, I strongly recommend the firewall for jailbroken devices. Not only can you set that app to block specific connections of each app, but its very usefull in disabling backgound running apps. With the firewall app set up, I remove all connections to all ad networks.

Eavesdropping Concern from iPhone

So you are concerned that your phone is eavesdropping on you? Depending on how tweaked your phone is, you might even notice your ram usage. Has there been a time where there has been abnormally high ram usage and nothing is running not even in the background? The crazy thing is that your phone could be tapped and someone whether it be malware or the government is possibly listening in. If you think about is, your phone lets someone know where you are and since you are constantly connected to the internet it wouldn’t take much to get it and go through your phone.

I find it unlikely that this is happening but it does beg to question how safe your information on your phone really is. Its truly accessible to anyone on the web since its connected constantly. I have had some people comment that they have random ads in the background and they where concerned with malware/adware on their phone. After all it is a computer and it is possible.

Few things to do to prevent eavesdropping:

  1. Get the Firewall app and set it
  2. install Updatr

The firewall is just good to have since you can block certain web request you may not want to happen. This could be from blocking ads popping up on your games to blocking certain services from loading on a website. The next tool is Updatr. you can get this on Sinful’s repo or xSellize. This tweak has no interface and allegedly it removes your geo location (GPS coordinates) that your iPhone stores and sends out. Why does your phone store your location? Supposedly its because it can help in acquiring the best cell phone towers in the area you are located in. If you just don’t buy that or just don’t feel the need for this Updatr will remove all locations you’ve been too so that the phone has nothing to report location-wise.

Block eavesdroppers

This doesnt prevent Eavesdropping. Since your phone is connected to the internet, you will be prone to it however Firewall and Updatr may help in curbing others from obtaining information on you.
