I just wanted to post to all about the error “Invalid IPA”, when downloading an app off of installous. If you are experiencing this error, its caused by one of two reasons.
1. The ipa file is actually corrupted.
2. You know the ipa file isnt corrupted but, installous (or some other downloader) tells you that it is.
The FIX
Go into installous. Add the source “sinfuliphonerepo.com” and go through their source and get yourself APPSYNC. You want to make sure you download the one that corresponds with your iphone’s firmware. This is just a fix that will do you wonders. Comment if you need any more help on this topic

I uninstalled appsync, then installous. I then installed appsync for 4.0+ from hackulo.us (alone) then installed installous4 (alone) from the same source

This maybe have already been posted, as I only read through the first few. But I was running into this problem big time. I have a ton of repos installed so I have a ton of duplicate packages. I was installing appsync and installous from different sources. I uninstalled everything from hackulo, insanelyi, and sinful the. Reinstalled both through sinful alone. Fixed my problem.

I got a solution to IPA unavailable problem.
See while downloading a game just stay on overthere only,don’t go to search updates or anything below and don’t do multitasking or don’t press the home button till it comes installed.
That really worked for me hope it works for others who try it

I did download both but it didnt work at first.
But after reading this i realised the problem lied in dloading from different sources.
i downloaded intallous from hackulo.us while i downloaded app sync from sinfuliphone. it worked after i uninstalled and downloaded both from sinfuliphone. THANKS ALOT ANYWAY!

Please try the following.. hope it helps..
You can clear your cache or cookies in ‘Settings’, ‘Safari’
If that doesn’t help, pls try the following…
‘Settings’, then ‘carrier’, unchecked ‘Automatic’,
wait for a while to see all the available service providers just below ‘Automatic’ function, then choose ur service provider manually.. e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, SingTel, StarHub,etc.. then **’REBOOT’**(//##important##//*)..
NOTE (important) : you may still need to switch between ‘Automatic’ and ‘Manual’ carrier mode since you may still encounter the same issue while you are in ‘Manual’ carrier mode. Just switch them vice versa..
if you think your service provider’s 3G is not powerful enough, please try to install ‘My3G Cracked’ from SinfuliPhone.. It makes ur iphone thinks 3G as WiFi.. hv fun..

If this does not work for someone. Make sure installous is also from sinful. Other uninstall installous and install sinfuls and the appsync from them.

I have no problem installing anything from installous. But when I try to install pages or keynote it repeatedly says Invalid ipa. I’ve tried all of the links and it just refuses to install!!

This didn’t work for me either. I can’t believe this Invalid IPA problem has been going on for so long without a solid fix.. It pretty much makes jailbreaking useless.

I was having this issue but only with 1 particular ipa, which I had done a good isntall from b4, I tried above and still had an issue with this 1 ipa, but I notied that I was running short on disc space. I backup up my videos and photos and deleted them to make room and the ipa then installed.

Thanks a ton for this!! Works like a charm!! This also fixed the issue i had with the 3G network… not sure if they were related, but I was unable to connect to 3G and was working only with WiFi on my iPad2.. now everything works great… Thanks a Ton!!

Ankur – I got the same problem installing PAGES – i m getting INVALID IPA for every option to instal the 2.0 version. I have uninstalled Appsync (that removed too my installous !? they are the same thing?) Well, then a re-installed Installous (from sinfuli..) and then “reinstalled” appsync (that was already installed at this moment, probably came with the installous too), but i reinstalled it (appsync) everything from sinfuli…
I gonna try to download again another IPA option in PAGES 2.0, if dont work i gonna try the previous version

mine works for smaller apps and games. But just a lot of the big games that screw me up like asphalt 6, nova 2 etc. I download them but at the end it won’t install because of invalid ipa. Any suggestions? I tried your way but it still exists.

I also had the invalid ipa but could not understand why when I just jailbroken my 2nd iPhone 3GS and the first worked fine I then went through packages on my old and had installous 4 and app sync 4.0+ all from hackalou so I changed it on my new one and it works fine . Hope this helped

As of today this fix is not valid for the iPhone 4. Downloading any app that is fairly large or “in demand” will usually result in the invalid IPA error, especially if it is a navigation app, or any app by apple such as PAGES or KEYNOTE. It does not matter which link you try the error still persists. I’m actually surprised by how long this problem has existed with no fix. Obviously this is a major flaw with no solid solution or else the problem wouldn’t still exist. Hopefully the creators of Installous will recognize the limitations of the current release and provide an update sooner rather than never. The IPA issue defeats the entire purpose of Installous… to be able to download expensive apps for free.

UPDATE: actually, for iphone 4 users, it’s possible that the advice given by “DundasBlues11″ may work. You must uninstall Appsynch, and ideally, Installous (which might uninstall automatically once you uninstall Appsynch). Then you have to re-install Appsych 4.0+ (not 4.1 or 5.0 etc.) and reinstall Installous 4. After doing this, the invalid IPA issue might be resolved.

UPDATE 2: but it should be noted that the previous advice did not work for me. I still received the IPA error. So, therefore the issue still remains no matter what version of either applications you download.

i already did that, ive been trying many times again and again and again.. it doesnt work.. i also research a lot of ways how to fix this but all the ideas of differents peoples its all doesnt work.. i cant still download from installous it has always invalid ipa.. what should i do? please help help
