What is going on with AT&T. So now the latest rumor news is that Sprint locks in an exclusive deal to take the iPhone 5. They are in contract to buy over $20 billion worth of iPhones over the next four years.
Why this makes sense: Apple wants their phone to be optimal. If this iPhone 5 is going to be 4G speeds, they want it on a network that can handle it.
Why This stinks: AT&T have been loyal iPhone users and now that Apple has agreed to this only will piss off a lot of iPhone users. Do you have a choice really? Now that Jobs is out of the picture could this be the new treatment to the loyal fans of the iPhone.
Apparently tomorrow 10:am:est we are slated to receive announcement of a 4GS phone, which basically says “Hey we gave you a little more memory and an A5 processor.” Now I was excited to buy my 3Gs when I was using a 3G but now that there is an available iPhone 5 out, they are stiffing their fans.
Lets hope Apple throws a bone to their Verizon / AT&T users and gives us an iPhone 5 with all the ammo it should minus the 4G speeds. I think understanding the current network limitations of some networks, this could still appease us iPhone Fans. (crossing fingers)
